Entebbe businesses get found by people who are not in Uganda yet. A guest house, a tour operator or an airport transfer service is searched for weeks before anyone lands — and whoever has a working website gets that booking.
Entebbe sits in Wakiso district, on the lake, next to the country's only international airport. That gives businesses here a customer nobody in Kampala has in the same way: someone in Nairobi, London or Johannesburg planning a trip, three weeks out, typing into Google at midnight.
That person cannot walk past your signage. They cannot ask a boda where the good guest house is. Everything they will ever know about you before they pay is what they can find online, and if there is nothing to find, they book whoever turned up in the results instead.
Most Entebbe guest houses and lodges depend almost entirely on the big booking platforms. Those platforms genuinely bring guests — and they take a commission on each one, every time, forever.
A website does not replace them. What it does is give a guest who has already found you somewhere to book directly. Many travellers will check whether a property has its own site, and quite a few prefer to deal with the owner. Every booking that arrives that way keeps the commission in your pocket.
For that to work the site has to show rooms, rates and photographs plainly, and let someone ask a question without filling in a long form.
A traveller checking your site is often on hotel wifi, airport wifi or roaming data. A heavy page that takes ten seconds to load has already lost them.
Every site is built light and mobile-first, with tap-to-call and click-to-WhatsApp on every screen. WhatsApp matters more than a contact form here — visitors to Uganda use it constantly, and a message gets answered while an email sits unread.
There is no office to visit and no meeting to travel to. Everything runs over WhatsApp and phone. You send photographs of the rooms, your rates and your details; drafts come back to you; you say what to change.
That is the reason a five-page site is UGX 500,000 rather than several million. You are paying for the work, not for premises. Kitoro, the airport road or the far side of the lake makes no difference to the price.
A large share of Entebbe searches carry a location with them — near the airport, close to the lake, on the Kampala road. Google answers those from your Google Business Profile as much as from your website, and the two work together.
Your profile is what puts you on Maps with your hours, photographs and reviews. Your website is what convinces someone once they have tapped through. A profile with no site behind it looks thin; a site with no profile is missing from the map entirely.
Setting up and optimising that profile properly is included from the UGX 1,000,000 package. If you would rather do it yourself it is free and entirely possible — it just takes an afternoon and some patience with the verification step.
The same honest pricing everywhere in Uganda — no “capital city” mark-up.

A one-page site with rooms, rates, photographs and a WhatsApp button is UGX 250,000. Most guest houses take the UGX 500,000 package, which allows separate pages for rooms, facilities and contact, plus an enquiry form that goes straight to your inbox.
On the UGX 1,000,000 package, yes — that adds booking forms and a Mobile Money payment link so a guest can reserve and pay a deposit. On smaller packages guests enquire by WhatsApp or the contact form, which suits most properties well.
No. Everything is handled remotely over WhatsApp and phone. You send us photographs and details of your rooms and services, and we send drafts for you to review before anything goes live. That is what keeps the price where it is.
About two days for a one-page site and three to four days for a full five-page site, from the point you send us your photographs and details. Gathering your photos first is usually what decides whether you are live sooner or later.
Yes, and it should. Your website sits alongside them and captures the guests who search for your property by name or prefer to book directly with you. You keep the platform listings and stop paying commission on the bookings that come to you straight.
